Function & position
Track rollers (bottom rollers) run along the underside of the track frame and carry the full weight of the machine on the chain rail. Together with the link height, the roller mounting height sets the ground clearance of the undercarriage.
As rollers and links wear down, the undercarriage gradually drops and the load shifts onto the idler, the sprocket and the final drive — components that are far more expensive to replace. Keeping rollers within their wear limit protects the rest of the system.
A failed roller never stays an isolated problem: a seized or collapsed roller grinds into the link rail and overloads its neighbours, so one neglected roller can shorten the life of the entire chain side.

Construction
Forged alloy steel body with a deep induction-hardened running surface, bimetal bronze bushings and heavy-duty face seals. Each roller is oil-filled, pressure-tested and lubricated for life — no greasing, no maintenance points.

Types

Daily checks
- +Walk around the machine and look for oil traces on the rollers — a leaking seal means the roller will run dry and seize.
- +Watch for flat spots or rollers that do not turn while the machine travels.
- +Keep the track frame clean: packed soil around the rollers traps moisture and abrasive material.
- +Measure the tread diameter at service intervals and compare it against the wear limit table.
